Myungjin Shipping President Park Song-sik was elected chairman of the Korea Shipping Association (KSA), the association said.
Park, 70, will take on the duties of chairman beginning Aug. 16 for a three-year term. He once served as the KSA vice-chairman.
“I would like to ask our executives and employees to work together to further activate and expand the shipping industry,” Park said.
Born in 1944, Park began his career at Ulsan Customs and then served as president of Dong Bo Shipping Co.
