China Shipping steps up activities in Yunnan

The second largest Chinese shipping line, China Shipping Group, is extending its footprint into the landlocked southwest Chinese province Yunnan, and has inked a strategy cooperation framework agreement with Yunnan provincial delegation in Shanghai.
According to the agreement, China Shipping will take Yunnan as an important base to develop logistics, technology, crew training and relevant business, meanwhile, the shipping company will participate in the highway and city traffic construction of Yunnan.
Though landlocked Yunnan was where China’s most famous seafarer, Zheng He, was born and brought up.
