Caterpillar Global Petroleum will unveil its latest comprehensive power solutions at the 12th Moscow International Oil and Gas Exhibition (MIOGE). Featured at the show will be the complete line of small Cat® gas generator sets, including the recently announced Cat G3306BTA oilfield generator set. Designed for land production applications, the G3306BTA is a fully customized factory solution providing customers with fuel savings without sacrificing performance power and is ideal for the growing production market in Russia.
Caterpillar will also be highlighting the Dynamic Gas Blending (DGB) system solution which provides customers with a dual-fuel system for their drilling and production applications. The Dynamic Gas Blending kit automatically adjusts to changes in incoming fuel quality and pressure allowing engines to run on a wide variety of fuels, from associated gas to vaporized LNG with no loss of performance integrity. It maintains diesel performance levels with up to 70 percent replacement of diesel with gas, accepts up to 55 percent inerts. No customer input or gas analysis is needed during operation, and no recalibration is required when the equipment is moved or the gas supply changes. The first DGB unit was shipped in December 2012 to a Russian oil and gas customer.
“Caterpillar is fortunate to have an established reputation as a trusted power solutions provider in the Russian oil and gas markets,” said Mikhail Potekhin, Caterpillar Global Petroleum regional sales manager for the Russia/CIS region. “Caterpillar is one of the most recognized and respected brands for delivering reliable products and services for oil and gas applications in Russia, recently celebrating the hundredth anniversary of our presence in the country.
