Leading Austrian crane manufacturer Palfinger is raising its presence in Singapore.
“We currently working on a new Singapore setup which will cover the whole Asia Pacific,” Karl Oberreiter, head of Palfinger Marine, told SeaShip News. Palfinger will increase manpower on the groun in sales and service.
“Our goal is to be present in the same time zone as our the clients in Asia, understand the market and its needs by being not only on site but also involved in developments, making fast and efficient decisions by having management with area responsibility in Singapore,” Oberreiter explained.
Palfinger is not alone among European crane manufacturers beefing up their presence in the Lion Republic. Earlier this year MacGregor announced its intention to shift its headquarters to Singapore, citing the need to be closer to the majority of its customers.
