Stone Marine Group, whose extensive company portfolio includes several marine companies designing, manufacturing, repairing and maintaining propulsion systems have purchased the trade of Ocean Venture Seals Ltd whose full range of products will now be manufactured, sold and serviced by Stone Marine Seals Ltd.
In addition to Stone Marine Seals own engineers, the fitting, maintenance, service and repair capabilities of Stone Marine Shipcare and Stone Marine Services, with their existing worldwide network of skilled service engineers, will ensure that ship owners receive a rapid response to any assistance request.
Ocean Venture Seals had an excellent reputation for innovative design and high quality manufacturing standards; qualities which will be further enhanced by the strength and depth of the Stone Marine Group and enable the Eco-Seal and other products to be developed for all OEM, new build and replacement applications.
Don Quilliam, Managing Director of Stone Marine Shipcare, who will also head up Stone Marine Seals, is delighted with the new acquisition; “Together with our associates at Stone Marine Services we have moved overnight from being a company that services and repairs seals to one that provides a complete service including original and retro-fit supply. Ocean Venture Seals manufactured first class products and with our substantial production capability we will now be in a position to ensure that these seals can be supplied exactly when required by vessel owners, and in quantity. I am also very pleased that John Lewis who was Technical Director at Ocean Venture Seals has agreed to join us as Operations Director, bringing with him an intimate knowledge of each product line.”
