Wilh. Wilhelmsen's NorSea investment has signed its first strategic partnership in Scotland, following last month's announcement of a new supply base to be developed in Scrabster Harbour, Scotland.
Established in 1964, the new partner Hugh Simpson's provides a total range of logistics services to the marine and offshore industries. It has two sister companies providing fuel and oil supply and shipping agency services in the region.
To NorSea Group, the partnership is a significant step forward in the plans for the Scrabster base. "This is a perfect fit for us," says Knut Magne Johannessen, director of international and project operations in NorSea Group. "We are delighted to sign an agreement with a well-established and highly respected company with local knowledge and expertise. This will help move the plans for the supply base forward."
