STX Pan Ocean will participate in Breakbulk China 2013, which will take place in Intex Shanghai & Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel from March 14th to 15th. The theme for this year's event is Targeting Sustainable Growth. The exhibition will bring together 130 exhibitors and attract over 4500 breakbulk and project cargo logisticians from all over the world.
Participating in project cargo conference and exhibition, STX Pan Ocean will discuss various topics including Focus on Sustainable Growth, An Overview of Indonesian Breakbulk and Project Developments, and a Five-Year Forecast of Asian Industrial Development, which will allow the company to meet and develop relationships with the leading specialized carriers, freight forwarders, ports, terminals, packers and equipment companies who have the expertise and resources to handle oversized cargoes.
STX Pan Ocean has strengthened competitiveness in heavy cargo transportation market, which is considered as a new engine of growth for the company, by concluding a contract for marine transportation of plant modules necessary for the LNG production facility with JKC Joint Venture, one of the world's leading EPC companies, as well as a contract with Geodis Wilson Italia, a global forwarder, to carry lock gates to be used for the Panama Canal expansion project in 2012. In 2013, STX Pan Ocean plans to expand service areas to Red Sea and the Mediterranean and endeavor to gain a contract for Oil & Gas projects.
The company official said, "As it is expected that the general shipping market condition shows a gradual improvement owing to increase in world cargo volume, iron ore price decline, and record-breaking ship dismantlement, stabilization of heavy cargo transportation business will greatly contribute to enhance our profitability."
Breakbulk China is one of three annual breakbulk and project cargo transportation conferences & exhibitions organized by Breakbulk Events, a division of UBM Global Trade, alongside Breakbulk Europe & Breakbulk Americas.
