Wang Zuwen: Improve soft power in shipping

China’s shipping industry has developed fast in recent years, however, the soft power of shipping is still lagging behind compared with developed countries and regions abroad, Wang Zuwen, president of Dalian Maritime University said during a recent interview.
The tax system needs adjustment and crew system reform will also be a key factor for the healthy development of the Chinese shipping industry, Wang said. He also urged the nation to become leaders in green ship construction.
