ShipServ, the leading marine and offshore e-marketplace, has built further on its trusted position among container owners and operators with the signing of CMA Ships, the wholly owned fleet and crew management subsidiary of the CMA CGM group.
CMA Ships signed with ShipServ on the strength of its pedigree in the container market, and was attracted by new modules available on TradeNet that include e-invoicing and e-logistics.
The Marseille-based company is currently responsible for the procurement activities of around 100 container vessels.
CMA Ships will connect to ShipServ through its current BassNet fleet management software suite.
Lars Bratshaug, VP Sales EMEA for ShipServ said:
“We are delighted to welcome such a major container company to the ShipServ community. To bring such a highly-respected operator onto TradeNet really demonstrates that ShipServ is the preferred partner in this sector. We look forward to working with CMA Ships as they use TradeNet in the future.”
ShipServ now has over 15 containership owners and operators trading on ShipServ TradeNet, with close to a 50% share of vessels in the liner sector.
Major containership owners and operators trading on ShipServ include AP Moller-Maersk, Mediterranean Shipping Company, Seaspan Corporation, NYK Line, K Line, MISC, Matson, Crowley Lines Reederei and Claus-Peter Offen.
