Hapag-Lloyd to increase export reefer rate out of Mexico February 23
GERMAN ocean liner Hapag-Lloyd plans to implement a freight rate hike for refrigerated containers transported out of Mexico, starting from February 23.
The higher charge from Mexico to destinations in the Americas is US$320 per reefer container. From Mexico to Asia and the Middle East the raised rate is $750 per reefer container.
The rate hike targets the trades from Mexico to North America, Central America, the east and west coasts of South America, Caribbean, Far East, the Middle East and India, reports the American Shipper.
