Volga-Dnepr Airlines flies 100 tons of mining equipment in Russia
RUSSIA's Volga-Dnepr Airlines has announced that it transported 100 tons of mining equipment, including a self-propelled Bauer BG28 drill used for mining, for Stroymechanoservice LLC to Magadan from Moscow using the AN-124-100 freighter.
The customer is said to have a proven track record of investment projects and experience in the construction of production facilities and processing plants in severe climates, remote areas and at self-contained construction sites.
The AN-124 aircraft also carried auxiliary equipment to support the operation and maintenance of the drill, to ensure continuous, uninterrupted performance at the production field.
In December the company successfully completed three other AN-124-100 flights for the mining industry when it delivered 300 tonnes of gold mining equipment from the Czech Republic to Kenya.
