Manzhouli checkpoint international freight volume hits 28 million tonnes
MANZHOULI checkpoint, North China's largest overland checkpoint in Inner Mongolia bordering Russia, posted a 5.9 per cent year-on-year increase in import and export cargo volume to 28.17 million tonnes in 2012, reports Xinhua.
In the same period, the checkpoint passenger volume reached 1.69 million persons, with 20.1 per cent increase.
Manzhouli transport and inspection departments have rolled out series of supporting measures to secure the steady growth of freight volume in 2012.
