Fujian ports box volume increases 10.6pc to 10.7 million TEU in 2012
FUJIAN provincial ports across from Taiwan, posted a 10.6 per cent year-on-year increase in container throughput to 10.7 million TEU in 2012, in which Fuzhou was up 9.9 per cent to 1.8 million TEU and Xiamen was up 11.4 per cent to 7.2 million TEU year on year, reports Xinhua.
Fujian ports also posted a 10.9 per cent year-on-year increase in overall cargo volume to 414 million tonnes, in which Fuzhou port cargo volume increased 11.6 per cent to 114 million tonnes and Xiamen port cargo volume increased 10.1 per cent to 172 million tonnes.
