Weiss Rohlig moves first project cargo from Hamburg to Taiwan
WEISS Rohlig has completed its first major project cargo shipment of machinery from Hamburg to Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
The shipment comprised five sets of break bulk pieces ranging in weight from 35 tons to 101 tons.
Two 500-ton cranes with a reach of 40 metres were used at Port of Kaohsiung to load on to low bed trailers for onwards road transport to the final inland destination.
"We are delighted that the shipment was on schedule and the project went according to plan," said Willie Tseng, manager, project cargo, Weiss Rohlig Taiwan.
Mr Tseng recently joined Weiss Rohlig following 30 years with NYK Line. He has extensive experience of managing and costing a wide range of multimodal cargo projects in Taiwan.
