Anhui province's 'logistics service supermarket' commences operation

A "logistics supermarket" has been developed by Anhui Provincial Logistics Association made up of local companies, is now up and running in the eastern Anhui province, Xinhua reports.

Situated at Hefei city's Yaohai district, the facility is the collection of logistics companies mainly offering drop and pull transport service for containers and bulk cargo.

Customers can choose the most suitable service in the "supermarket" according to their need. The facility covers 30,000 square metres, and the routes it offers will cover 282 cities across China.

Anhui's logistics industry has been growing rapidly in recent years. But many logistics parks in the province are small and so are their service networks. Therefore, the province has built up this "logistics supermarket" to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for shippers.
