Chongqing West Logistics Park key projects to generate vast returns
THE West Logistics Park of south western China's Chongqing has launched 15 key projects with an investment of CNY8.5 billion (US$1.36 billion), which at full build-out is expected to generate CNY141.9 billion in economic activity, reports Xinhua.
At present, the logistics enterprises in eastern China like Sinotrans and YCIL have entered the logistics park, the handling and distribution centres in the park, including Yonghui Logistics, Chongqing Dachuan Holding Group, have put into operation. Besides, eight projects like Shanghai Yongxiang Western Steel Services Base have also entered the zone.
The 16-square kilometre park which commenced construction in November 2007 has spent CNY12.4 billion in fixed assets so far on developing logistics intermodal, commercial and trade areas with auxiliary facilities.
