Kerry Logistics buys into Vietnam logistics firm, Tin Thanh Express
HONG KONG's Kerry Logistics has through the group's affiliates and a local alliance expanded its network in Vietnam by acquiring a majority stake in Tin Thanh Express.
The new company, Kerry TTC Express, will combine the international freight network of Kerry Logistics with the local competence of TTC Express. Customers in Vietnam will have access to one-stop-shop logistics solutions and a globally integrated network, a Kerry statement says.
"Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia, we recognised that TTC Express is a market leader in its field," said Kerry TTC Express chairwoman Rosa Du.
Based in Hanoi, the private express company, offers domestic nationwide next-day express delivery, courier, LTL, FTL, line haul as well as international express. Its three major hubs are located in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang where cargo and packages are sorted, consolidated and delivered by air and road freight. Together with a fleet of 160 trucks, the company is handling 10,000 shipments every day.
