United starts Los Angeles-Tokyo service using new B787 Dreamliner
UNITED Airlines commenced daily nonstop Boeing 787 Dreamliner service between its international hub airports of Los Angeles and Tokyo Narita on January 3, says United vice president Jim Mueller.
This marks the launch of the carrier's first scheduled international route operated using a 787 Dreamliner. The service was previously operated with a Boeing 777 aircraft.
"We look forward to offering our customers the opportunity to experience the Dreamliner on additional international flights in the future," Mr Meuller said.
The flight, UA32, departs Los Angeles at 1115 hrs arriving in Tokyo Narita at 1610 hrs the next day. The return flight, UA33, departs Tokyo Narita daily at 1755 hrs, arriving in Los Angeles at 1035 hrs the same day.
