Boeing receives US$6 billion order from ACG for a fleet of 737 MAX aircraft
GLOBAL commercial jet aircraft leasing and California asset management company, Aviation Capital Group (ACG), has placed an order for sixty 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing for US$6 billion at list prices.
The order, finalised in December 2012, is made up of fifty 737 MAX 8s and ten 737 MAX 9s, and brings to 1,000 the total number of orders for the 737 MAX aircraft.
"This order is a major step in building our broad portfolio of modern, fuel-efficient airplanes," said ACG chief executive Denis Kalscheur.
Said Boeing vice president John Wojick: "The 737 MAX will deliver to ACG's customers unsurpassed efficiency in the single-aisle market as well as improved environmental performance."
