Carriers resume call at Dammam again after Ramadan congestion cleared
APL/MOL and OOCL/Cosco have reinstated their two services WAX/CMI and MAX/MEX to Saudi Arabia's Port of Dammam six weeks after heavy congestion sparked by an import surge during Ramadan and the Eid al Fitr holidays clogged terminal operations.
During the service disruption each set of carriers served the port through two high capacity feeders for a temporary period with APL and MOL assigning 4,330 TEU APL Seoul to the Bahrain-Dammam feeder, and OOCL/Cosco's Bahrain-Dammam feeder with 5,089-TEU Tian Yun He, Alphaliner reported.
