SDV extends European network by establishing subsidiary in Norway

GLOBAL supply chain management provider SDV, part of the Bollore Group, has set up a subsidiary company in Norway extending its network to Scandinavia.

"SDV Norway is fully integrated into SDV's global network and offers a complete range of services in international supply chain. The head office is located in central Oslo where ocean freight and industrial projects are handled," said SDV Norway general manager Rune Engebretsen.

A second office at Oslo-Gardemoen airport is dedicated to air freight operations, and the company said that new branches will follow in Bergen and Stavanger by 2014.

Norway is a major oil and gas producing country for which SDV has developed a logistics specific expertise recognised worldwide, said the press statement.

"Norway is considered as a strategic country by our group and SDV Norway will implement oil and gas logistics solutions for both local and international players within the industry sector. Oslo joins the existing network of London, Aberdeen, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Milan and Paris, the main hubs of our European oil and gas network," said energy sector and project director Philippe Lejeune.
