Two coastal expressways in Guangxi to open by the end of the year
THE two coastal expressways of Guangxi Qinzhou-Chongzuo and Liujing-Qinzhougang in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, invested by Guangxi Communications Investment Group, are expected to be open to traffic by the end of the year, reports Xinhua.
At present, the phase 1 project of Qinzhou-Chongzuo expressway has passed the acceptance check, and the Liujing-Qinzhougang expressway has launched the acceptance check.
The project of Qinzhou-Chongzuo expressway costs CNY6.45 billion (US$1.04 billion), with a mainline of 129 kilometres and a designed speed of 100 kilometres per hour. The Liujing-Qinzhougang expressway costs CNY6.54 billion, with the mainline 140.3 kilometres and the designed speed 120 kilometres per hour.
The completion of the two projects will boost the construction of the Beibu Gulf ports, strengthen the connection between coastal cities in China and Southeast Asian countries and accelerate the building of China-ASEAN free trade area.
