Shenyang customs undertakes measures to improve customs clearance
CUSTOMS in the northeastern Shenyang province announced that it would take steps to enhance customs clearance efficiency and facilitate foreign trade growth, reports Xinhua.
Shenyang Customs will widen the reform of the enterprise credit categorising system in the entire customs area. Companies with higher credit limits can enjoy more simplified and faster clearance service.
Meanwhile, the reform will also involve paper-free clearance, cancelling the paper declaration forms and accompanying documents and certificates gradually.
Customs will encourage shippers to use the electronic tariff payment system to reduce time and cost and facilitate tariff payment and administration.
It will stop or cancel some charges for enterprises in imports and exports, like declaration form barcode fee and customs supervision charges to further simplify customs clearance procedures, reduce both cost and time for companies and facilitate the development of provincial foreign trade.
The applicable scope has been upgraded from class A enterprises to the class B manufacturing export firms with higher credit limits. Customs will also cooperate more closely with other customs branches to optimise clearance and offer greater convenience to promote regional trade development.
