SEKO Logistics directs its expansion plans to Uganda and Ethiopia
SEKO Logistics, a supply chain solutions provider has established offices in Uganda and Ethiopia as part of an expansion strategy for rapidly growing in Africa.
The move was prompted by strong growth within the energy, mining and technology industries in Africa, which are core vertical markets for the company, reports the UK's Transport Intelligence.
The new offices in East Africa offer air and ocean forwarding, project cargo, ground transportation, warehousing, fulfilment and customisable IT solutions. They are headed by logistics professional Hubert Vermaak, regional director East Africa, who has 15 years of experience working for global companies in East Africa.
Bob van der Putten, managing director EMEA region for SEKO Global Logistics, said: "The addition of offices in Uganda and Ethiopia adds to our existing coverage in Libya, Egypt and South Africa. In addition, SEKO will soon be opening offices in Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Tanzania, Djibouti and Zambia."
The company is a member of the Netherlands-Africa Business Council and operates a growing air freight gateway in Amsterdam to provide air consolidation services for EU shippers to Africa.
