CN is rated a top ten company in Canada for its corporate culture
CANADIAN National Railway Company (CN) has been honoured by Waterstone Human Capital for having one of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2012.
The Canadian executive search firm specialising in organisational culture assessed the railway operator's leadership, organisational culture, corporate responsibility and innovation. The company was chosen out of 600 nominated businesses.
Waterstone's Board of Governors was impressed with CN's successful transformation from the rail industry laggard to a rail industry leader, noting that very few companies have been able to achieve such a transformation, a statement from CN said.
Claude Mongeau, president and chief executive of CN, said, "We are very pleased with this recognition by Waterstone, which is testament to the passion and commitment of CN's 23,000-strong team of railroaders."
He added, "CN has experienced a remarkable transformational journey and will continue to pursue its role as a true backbone of the economy."
