Anhui provincial authorities build multi-berth terminal at Maanshan

ZHENGPU port area's terminal project, the first of Maanshan's "port logistics base" in east China's Anhui province, has commenced the first phase of its construction, reports Xinhua.

Its berth capacity is first among Maanshan ports at 20,000 tonnes and is also in first place among Anhui Wanjiang ports. The project is to be completed in two years.

Zhengpu port area is located in Maanshan's He County, adjacent to the Jiangsu provincial capital of Nanjing and close to the river and sea. As part of Maanshan "river-sea intermodal hub", the facility will provide a water-land, river-sea intermodal platform to Anhui's Hefei economic circle and north Anhui logistics area on completion, offering containers more a efficent logistics system.
