DHL Global Forwarding on forward edge, opens first office in Libya
DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight unit within Deutsche Post DHL, has opened an office in Tripoli, Libya, to target the oil and energy, construction, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals sectors.
The company's decision was motivated by the nation's faster than expected recovery in oil and hydrocarbon production, which is driving economic growth.
It said in a statement issued by PRNewswire that it is strengthening its operations and service portfolio in the Middle East and Africa as they will be areas of focus in the years to come.
The company will offer customers services such as documentation handling, Customs clearance, warehousing, air and ocean freight, domestic and cross-border trucking.
