American Airlines' AA Cargo appoints FlyUs as Central America GSSA
AMERICAN Airlines Cargo is boosting its sales offering in Central America with the appointment of a single GSSA - FlyUs - across the region, with immediate effect.
FlyUs is responsible for cargo sales on behalf of the airline across eight cities in seven countries led by managing director, Carlo de Haas, who has a successful, long-standing relationship with AA Cargo in Europe for 10 years, a company statement said.
The GSSA's central American operation is based in San Jose, Costa Rica, from where a business centre has been also been established in order to serve customer needs throughout the region, six days a week. The other cities where sales executives are located are: Guatemala City (GUA), Belize City (BLZ), San Pedro Sula (TGU) and Tegucigalpa (TGU) in Honduras, San Salvador (SAL), Managua (MGA) and Panama City (PTY).
"I'm very excited about our appointment by AA Cargo in this fast developing region," says Mr de Haas. "With multiple products such as PPS, EPX and EPXTC we can sell on 140 flights per week from eight cities and we have all tools to serve the air freight industry and give customers what they value most."
Mr de Haas said there is tremendous potential for export cargo business from all locations in the service offering, but especially from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama.
