3PLs urged to adopt risk management techniques, cost control measures
THIRD party logistics services have improved. with their numbers rising and business scope is widening, but many overlook the importance of risk management and cost control in the midst of rapid growth, according to HAVI Group, and international logistics concern.
This is one of the area that will be covered when HAVI vice president Troy Shortell who will address the 3PL Conference CHINA organised by UBM Conferences on December 13-14 in Shanghai. He will discuss the current trends of China domestic logistics and how to build a low-risk and cost-effective strategy with one hundred senior decision makers from 3PL companies, shippers, software and tools companies, said a company statement.
Mr Shortell said this issue later leads to the emergence of bottlenecks which restrict corporate. Therefore, making a low-risk and cost-effective strategy for players in the logistics industry is of the utmost importance, it says.
The HAVI Group is an international logistics company that provided global warehousing and distribution services, including food storage and distribution work for the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympics Games in 2008.
