Kiel Canal northern lock shut November 26-30, smaller lock open
A CLOSURE of the big northern lock at Kiel Canal in Brundsbyttel, Germany will take place from 0730 hrs from November 26 until November 30 due to urgent repair works.
The older and smaller northern lock chamber are available for shipping during this period in order to avoid heavy delays.
It is hoped that the Northern Lock will be operational at night on Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday/Friday during these dates.
