Foshan West Railway Station expected to become operational in 2017
FOSHAN West Railway Station will commence construction in next year and is expected to become operational in 2017, with a planned passenger volume of 30 million, reports Xinhua.
Foshan West Railway Station is located in Foshan city (pop 7.2 million) in southeast China's Guangdong province, occupying an area of four square kilometres and is about 1.5 kilometres away from Foshan Airport.
Foshan West Railway Station will connect with several intercity railways, namely Guizhou Guiyang-Guangdong Guangzhou, Guangxi Nanning-Guangzhou, Guangzhou-Foshan, Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing, etc. And these intercity railways are designed for speeds of 200 kilometres per hour.
