IATA launches Air Cargo Makes it Happen awareness campaign in Israel
THE International Air Transport Association (IATA) is leading an "Air Cargo Makes it Happen" campaign in an effort to raise the awareness about how critical the air cargo industry is to the commerce, the economy and the global community.
IATA Israel together with the cargo terminals in Ben Gurion International Airport, Maman and Swissport, are promoting the value of air cargo for a sustainable economy by putting up posters in the main entrance to the terminals and at the customer service counters. The campaign encompasses the concepts of the value of modern life, the value to economic prosperity and the value to the global community, reports Israel's Port2Port trade website.
According to IATA, the global air cargo industry transports US$5 trillion worth of goods, 35 per cent of the value of the goods and $60 billion in airline revenues.
