Los Angeles container volumes up 0.82pc to 718,406 TEU in October
THE Port Los Angeles posted a 0.82 increase in container throughput to 718,406 TEU in October year on year, but laden boxes declined 1.47 per cent to 544,692 TEU as the number of empties increased 20 per cent
From January to October, overall container volumes reached 6,906,587 TEU, up 4.96 per cent compared to the volumes of 6,596,933 TEU recorded in the same period last year.
Imports decreased 1.07 per cent to 368,842 TEU in October year on year while exports declined 7.1 per cent to 179,810 TEU in 2012.
