Alataw Pass export freight volume up 14.9pc in first three quarters
NORTHWEST China's Alataw Pass checkpoint bordering Kazakhstan posted a three per cent decrease year on year in import and export freight volume to 15,279,500 tonnes in the first three quarters, while the export volume recorded a 14.9 per cent growth, reports Xinhua.
The total value of imports and exports reached US$11.2 billion, among which the railway trade volume was 7,869,000 tonnes valued at US$4.3 billion, and the road volume was 123,700 tonnes to US$1.1 billion. The pipeline's import and export volume was 7,286,800 tonnes while value hit US$5.89 billion in the first three quarters.
