Chongqing's September rail loading volume up 11.6pc to 1.9 million tonnes

CHONGQING's loaded railcar total was up 11.6 per cent year on year in September at 1.93 million tonnes, Xinhua reports.

The Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Railway operated two trips a week, eight runs in total, carrying 350 FEU. The Chongqing-Shenzhen railway offered four runs a week carrying 732 FEU.

In the same month, Chongqing's railway moved 70,000 tonnes of containerised cargo, up 11.1 per cent, 92,000 tonnes of steel, down 3.1 per cent, one million tonnes of coal, up 1.6 per cent.

The city's railway cargo of arrival amounted to 3.04 million tonnes, up 1.3 per cent. Grain grew 27.6 per cent to 203,000 tonnes. Petroleum increased 6.7 per cent to 126,000 tonnes.
