Kuehne + Nagel wins Lego e-commerce internet contract in Belgium

GLOBAL toy manufacturer of Lego Group has integrated its online webshop with its warehouse management system through the launch of an e-commerce platform by Kuehne + Nagel Belgium to help balance volume fluctuations of internet sales.

Kuehne + Nagel's operation in Geel will support Denmark-based Lego's direct to consumer internet ordering for delivery of its toys in Europe, Australia and New Zealand through its 45,000 square metre facility, with room to expand by a further 30,000 square metres.

It supports its warehouse processes by radio frequency (RF) and scanning technologies and an automated packing machine and sorted for outbound shipments for Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
