Cargotec moves reachstacker-empty handler works to Poland from Sweden
FINLAND's Cargotec plans to move its reachstacker and empty container handler production in Europe from Sweden to Stargard Szczecinski, Poland to improve efficiency and profitability.
Reachstackers and empty container handlers are currently assembled at its Lidhult multi-assembly unit in Sweden, which now plans to focus on forklift trucks' production in future.
Due to the reorganisation plans, Cargotec will begin cooperation negotiations on the possible personnel reductions in Lidhult immediately. The means the loss of 130 jobs.
Cargotec's sales totalled EUR3.1 billion (US$4 billion) in 2011 and it employs 10,500 people.
