Hong Kong down 2.4pc in September to 1.9 million TEU, Singapore up 8.2pc
FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 1.9 million TEU in September, representing a year-on-year decline of 2.4 per cent over the two million TEU in September of last year.
Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 8.2 per cent increase in container movement in September, having handled 2.6 million TEU compared to 2.4 million TEU in September last year.
