Atlanta airport to open 9,290-square metre air cargo terminal in 2014
ATLANTA's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has plans to open a fourth cargo facility of 9,290 square metres to further boost its cargo status to match up its robust passenger volumes.
It is to welcome an additional carrier Air Cargo Germany in twice weekly flights in and out of Atlanta which will generate US$4 million to $6 million for the state of Georgia and lead to 25 to 30 jobs.
The design proposal for the cargo facility will be submitted in 2013 with costing to be drawn up thereafter, said aviation general manager Louis Miller, reported the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
