Encompass offers guarantees for Asia/Australasia refrigerated exports
ENCOMPASS Global Logistics, a fast-growing 3PL that is ranked among the top 20 operators in the transpacific, is boosting its refrigerated services by offering a peak season service guarantee to customers exporting to Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
The new offering comes in response to a rapid rise in customer demand to export refrigerated goods to Australasia.
"Because of our vast carrier network and contracts, we are able to guarantee space and provide the necessary schedule flexibility to enable all of our shippers to quickly get their produce to market," says Encompass sales vice president Ron Folsom.
"For the produce season that began in June and will go through March/April, many of our exporters are increasing their volumes with Encompass."
He expects the company's exports to Asia and Australia to increase by 50 per cent and 20 per cent, respectively, this year.
In addition to coordinating all transportation, documentation and customs clearances, the company also manages late gates and works closely with suppliers and packing houses, as well as, with transload and fumigation facilities, to ensure that delivery windows are met.
Said Mr Folsom: "Before we launched our reefer service, exporters had to go and find multiple solutions from a variety of service providers to get their produce overseas. Our service simplifies the exporting process and saves the exporters/growers time and money."
