Fujian's waterway and road investment grows 7.4pc in first eight months
FROM January to August, southeast China's coastal province Fujian spent CNY49.86 billion (US$7.92 billion) on waterway and road traffic infrastructures, 7.4 per cent higher on a year-on-year basis.
According to Xinhua's report, the province's investment on expressways went slightly up by 0.1 per cent to CNY28.02 billion. Road investment increased 18.8 per cent to CNY13.45 billion. Waterway projects cost CNY6.67 billion, 14.3 per cent more than a year ago. Freight station cost CNY743 million, up 37.2 per cent. CNY849 million was spent on other auxiliary facilities, up 36.6 per cent.
