Alataw Pass checkpoint's freight volume up 92pc in first seven months
NORTHWEST China's Alataw Pass checkpoint bordering Kazakhstan recorded a 92 per cent growth year on year in import and export freight volume to 145,800 tonnes in the first seven months, reports Xinhua.
The export cargo volume to Kazakhstan reached 97,600 tonnes with a 61 per cent increase, accounting for 67 per cent of the total. The export growth was boosted by commodities such as vehicle and machinery equipments
