Singapore, Hong Kong procurement hiring ads up, says Asia Job Index
SINGAPORE and Hong Kong lead the way in procurement hiring in the second quarter of 2012 with operations and logistics recruitment bumped up by 21.3 per cent, reports Procurement Asia of Singapore.
Across Asia the sector saw increases with China (9.1 per cent), South Korea (7.8 per cent) and Malaysia (3.8 per cent) outside of Japan which plunged in a recruitment slide of 53.8 per cent, according to Robert Walters Job Index which tracks online advertising only.
The increase of recruitment advertising for both Hong Kong and Singapore at 16.2 per cent and 14.3 per cent respectively is attributed to significance of each trade hub.
The biggest growth in personnel hire of operations and logistics were for South Korean market at 20.8 per cent, Malaysia at 12.4 per cent, Japan 10.7 per cent and China at 2.8 per cent only.
