Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces to link up their highway networks
THE three central China provinces of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi have reached a cooperation agreement on integrating their transport networks of expressway and railways, Xinhua reports.
The integration project will first start in the three cities of Yueyang, Xianning and Jiujiang, which are situated near the borders of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces.
According to the agreement, a new railway connecting the three cities will be built. And the three parties will also accelerate the building of a number of expressways including Hangzhou-Ruili, Wuhan-Shenzhen, Xiushui-Pingjiang-Yiyang, Xianning-Tongshan lines.
The three cities will also encourage mergers of local logistics companies and built up a joint logistics data and information sharing platform.
