Sino-Vietnam opens 10 direct vehicle services, five from Guangxi
CHINA has opened 10 direct passenger and freight vehicle services to Vietnam including five from south China's Guangxi autonomous region, reports Xinhua.
The new five vehicle services from Guangxi are Nanning to Hanoi, Nanning to Haiphong, Guilin to Hanoi, Congzuo to Halong and Baise to Cao Bang.
Meanwhile, Guangxi added a new border checkpoint Longbang open to Vietnam besides Youyigaung, Dongxing and Shuikou.
China and Vietnam signed an agreement in May, which allows trucks with a granting permit and official affairs vehicle to run directly between both sides. This is the first time of that kind of agreement, which China signs with neighbouring countries.
Guangxi will increase four more vehicle services to Vietnam from September at the base of having opened 10 international overland services.
