CEVA awarded ocean freight management contract from HJ Heinz Company
HJ HEINZ Company has awarded CEVA Logistics, an international non-asset based supply chain management company, a five-year contract to manage its products transported as ocean freight.
"In a strategy led by Heinz's global procurement organisation, the agreement represents the first time that a shipper with an annual volume of 60,000 TEU has entrusted a single logistics provider with exclusive management of its ocean freight," a CEVA statement said.
"The benefits of this agreement for Heinz include a considerable complexity reduction, enhanced supply chain visibility and reduced supply chain cost," it added.
