Xinjiang Dulata checkpoint 7-month freight volume hits 120,000 tonnes
NORTHWEST China's Xinjiang Dulata overland checkpoint bordering Kazakhstan recorded an import and export freight volume of 120,000 tonnes in the first seven months with a trade value of US$950 million, reports Xinhua.
The checkpoint also posted a passenger volume of 30,000 individual trips. The facility has been undergoing more growth from foreign trades, import and export processing and warehousing logistics since it was put into service in 2006.
According to Xinjiang's customs data, the region's import and export value grew 9.2 per cent year on year to $9.82 billion in the first half, 1.2 percentage points higher than the national average level, but 31.3 per cent less year on year.
