China's total air freight volume declines 3.4pc to 437,300 tonnes in July
STATISTICS posted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) show that the country's air cargo volume in July declined 3.4 per cent year on year to 437,300 tonnes, Xinhua reports.
In the same month, passenger traffic went 9.5 per cent up to 29.91 million persons. Total turnover volume increased 6.1 per cent to 5.46 billion tonnes per kilometres.
From January to July, China's air freight volume slid 4.8 per cent year on year to 2.96 million tonnes per kilometres. Passengers grew 8.8 per cent to 181 million persons. Total turnover climbed five per cent to 34.16 billion tonnes per kilometre.
Freight volume increased 0.5 per cent on domestic routes, fell 12.9 per cent on Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan lines, and dropped 11.1 per cent on international flights.
