Yusen Logistics in Bangladesh and with new offices in Dhaka, Chittagong
NYK's logistics arm, Yusen Logistics, is to launch operations in Bangladesh from October 15 with a new national head office in the capital Dhaka and a second office in Chittagong.
The company looks to Bangladesh as one of the "Next 11" emerging economies following so-called BRICs in a response to its logistics needs of apparel and retail companies.
Over the last couple of years it has sent company employees to Bangladesh to expand business, supported by a long-term focus on buyer's consolidation service for apparel makers.
