Fujian-Taiwan direct shipping box volume up 10.1pc to 351,700 TEU
SEA shipping service between China's Fujian province and Taiwan increased 10.1 per cent year on year to 351,700 TEU from January to July, Xinhua reports.
Some 7.85 million tonnes of bulk cargo, up 66.67 per cent, also cross the Formosa Strait between the two jurisdictions.
In this period, the Fujian-Taiwan direct container shipping service operated 1,429 sailings, 3.48 per cent more than in the same period last year.
In July, cross-strait ships carried 53,200 TEU, up 8.22 per cent, as well as 1.22 million tonnes of bulk cargo, up 28.78 per cent and operated 231 container sailings, up 28.7 per cent.
